It is harvest on the 14th September and we shall be having a "Songs of Praise' service in the evening, hymns chosen at random, from a box that Edward will ask you to put in your favourite hymns and the reason why. Click Here for a form to request your favourite hymn. During the week, the church will be open every day from 15th September until 20th September, Monday to Thursday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.; Friday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Tea, coffee /biscuits will be available each day. Children from the local schools, brownies, mother/toddles group are doing friezes. Jan and Dave Cook are putting photos all around the church. If anyone has a big screen to project photos on can we borrow it please. We will need volunteers to be in church to welcome people during that week. Lists will be put up a little nearer the time asking for volunteers for this.
Saturday 20th September we will be having “Messy Church” for the children in the morning. In the evening Edward is arranging a concert in the hall for everyone.
Sunday 21st September our big celebration day. We are having a sung mass at 5p.m There will be a lot of visitors, including past vicars and curates from when the church was opened. The patrons, visitors from the group and past members of the congregation. We will have our usual St Matthews feast afterwards.
Transport to the church will be made available for those who require it. See David or Rodney. Also if you can volunteer to bring people along we will be grateful for that.
